Wilds.io is an interesting 2D multiplayer flash game with a very neat concept. The player is a warrior that has to battle other players in order to reach the fame of the leader-board and climb it all the way to the top and be the strongest of them all. Characterized by its old school pixel style, unlike other .io games, it offers the possibility to chose the gender of the character and play a tutorial before getting into the actual game. An interesting aspect of the game is that, once an enemy is defeated, they drop items that the player collects and uses to upgrade their character.
The controls are responsive but a bit slow and somewhat counter-intuitive when compared to other RPG games. They consist of the typical W, A, S, D combination for movement, LMB for attack and charged attack, scroll up for charge and scroll down for shield. Nonetheless, it has some great actions and the sound effects are very satisfying. The colours are bright yet not too blinding and the contrast between the background and the dropped items makes it easier to spot and collect them in wildsio.
The game runs smoothly and without any noticeable lag, which is pretty important in turn based games such as this one where the players have the possibility to defend themselves with a shield in real time speed. Its rewarding system is very well balanced and satisfying.
It is, in the end, a really fun game and, unlike many others of the same domain, really rewarding.
